Charity Auction for Off Center Arts

Off Center Arts is my favorite charity and they're having a silent auction to benefit the center on May 6, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM.

They are basically a daytime art studio open to anyone and everyone who wants to come in and make art. The art supplies are donated and people (very often homeless and disadvantaged) can leave their artworks in the gallery space to be sold and the artist is given 80% of the profit. We need more people like them in the world!!!!

Every year local artists are given little wooden houses to decorate however we choose and they will auction them off to raise money and awareness for the center.

Art Show @ Back Street Bistro in Santa Fe, NM

My bestest friend in a 6 block radius (actually a much bigger radius than that, in truth we go back over 20 years...) Carol Holsinger and I are having a two man — well actually a zero man — show at Back Street Bistro that will open on June 30th.

We've decided to do a predominantly food oriented show so this'll be stretching me out of my comfort zone. You'll probably be seeing a bit of food/drink/diner imagery working it's way into my eBay auctions as I prepare for this one.

The work will be up through August so if you find yourself in Santa Fe this summer stop in and see some of my new work. It's the SF local's favorite lunch spot. And you have to try the Hungarian Mushroom soup, it's incredible.

The Back Street Bistro is located @ 513 Camino de los Marquez in Santa Fe, NM

AM Galleries in Ludington, MI

I've just agreed to representation by my friend Andy, owner of AM Galleries in my childhood hometown of Ludington, MI, where I spend summers with my family still. I'm usually in ABQ/Santa Fe in the winter while they're buried in several feet of snow in Ludington :)

Andy and his wife have the local art supply store too and I'm really excited about being part of their new gallery. From what I understand it's going to be the most amazing space, a couple blocks from the lighthouse and Lake Michigan's gorgeous beach and at night there will be a wine bar. Can not wait to see the space.

You wouldn't have to take but a few steps out the door to be looking straight down the street to this scene on the left.

I will post more information about upcoming shows with AMG as we figure it out.
